广西特色作物研究院简介

广西特色作物研究院(原广西壮族自治区柑桔研究所)成立于1965年,属公益性科研单位,隶属于自治区农业厅。成立50年来,在自治区农业厅、科技厅等上级部门的大力支持和兄弟单位的协助下,院领导班子和广大干部职工群策群力,坚持“科技创新立院,人才发展强院,服务三农兴院”的理念,在科研工作、人才培养、服务产业等方面都取得显著的成绩。

一、单位机构设置

我院前身广西壮族自治区柑桔研究所,位于桂林市七星区普陀路40号2014年1月经广西壮族自治区编制委员会办公室批准,由广西壮族自治区柑桔研究所更名成立广西特色作物研究。院本部位于市区占地500余亩,在临桂新建“广西现代特色作物科技创新与示范基地”1329亩。

本院主要承担果蔬种质资源收集、保存、鉴定、评价与创新利用,新品种选育、引进、脱毒、保存、筛选与应用,良种繁育,优质高效安全栽培,病虫害综合防控与检测,采后处理及贮藏保鲜,产品加工,开发利用、技术推广、技术咨询和培训等。

全院下设办公室、人事科、计划财务科、科技业务科、后勤保卫科、基地管理科等6个行政科室,研究机构设有广西柑橘研究所、广西特色作物研究院果树研究所、广西特色作物研究院蔬菜研究所、广西特色作物研究院中药材研究所、广西特色作物研究院食品研究所、广西特色作物研究院食用菌研究所、广西特色作物研究院农产品质量标准研究所、广西特色作物研究院信息研究所、实验室等9个研究机构。

二、人才队伍情况

现有在职职工83人,从事科研工作人员57人,其中:正高级职称6人、副高级职称23人、中级职称26人;博士研究生6人、硕士研究生14人;有二级研究员1人、广西优秀专家2、国务院政府特殊津贴专家1人国家现代柑橘产业技术体系试验站站长1人国家现代产业技术体系试验站站长1人葡萄一年两收栽培技术研究八桂学者岗位团队成员3人广西柑橘创新团队首席专家、功能专家和试验站站长各1人广西特色水果创新团队葡萄功能专家1人广西落叶果树创新团队功能专家和试验站站长各1人。

三、科研立项及经费

我院针对产业需求,不断提升科研水平,与时俱进构建科研项目。建院五十年以来,先后承担国家级、省部级和地厅级等科研课题300项,目前每年获得科研经费1300万元。

为提高我院在科研工作上的深度和层次,深入探究科学原理,提高基础创新的水平。我院近年来加大在基础研究的支持和投入,在2011年首次获得国家自然科学基金项目立项支持又分别于20132014年获得国家自然科学基金青年基金国家自然科学基金的立项支持,获得国家自然科学基金委的立项支持,代表我院已在特色作物的的基础研究领域取得一定成果,未来我院将持续加大在基础研究方面的投入和保障,以期获得一批原创性的高质量科研成果

四、科研成果

建院以来取得科研成果奖80项次,其中,获国家科技进步奖二等奖1项、全国科学大会奖1项、国家发明三等奖1项、国家星火奖1项、广西科技进步特别贡献奖1项、国家教育部科技进步一等奖1项、其他省部级科技进步奖24项;收集、保存果蔬种质资源663个;选育出柑橘优良品种“桂橙1号”、“桂脐1号”、“桂柚1号”、“柳城蜜橘”、“桂橘一号”“桂夏橙一号”“桂金柑1号”“桂金柑2西瓜优良品种“花玉”等多个拥有自主知识产权的果蔬新品种;主持编著出版专业著作24部;参与编著出版专业著作14部;制定农业行业标准1项,申报专利2项制定、修订广西地方标准53项;全所科研人员在各类期刊发表论文854篇,其中核心期刊发表229篇;1990年创刊发行《广西柑橘》期刊,现更名为《南方园艺》;开展柑橘先进适用综合技术培训70多万人次。

2010-2017年,本院在柑橘无病毒苗木繁育技术研究、柑橘黄龙病综合防控技术研究、柑橘新品种选育及示范推广、葡萄栽培技术研究等方面,取得了显著成绩。共获得12项次科技成果奖,其中,获得国家科技进步奖二等奖1项;国家教育部科技进步一等奖1项;全国农牧渔业丰收奖二等奖1项;获得广西科技进步奖特别贡献奖1项、二等奖2三等奖6项。

五、科研团队与平台

目前组建科研团队有:柑橘种质保存与创新研究、柑橘新品种选育研究、柑橘无病毒苗木繁育研究、柑橘优质高效栽培研究、柑橘营养与施肥研究、柑橘黄龙病综合防控研究、柑橘病害防治研究、柑橘虫害防治研究、葡萄引种及新品种选育研究、葡萄一年两收栽培技术研究、葡萄病虫害防治研究、桃品种、栽培与植保研究、梨品种、栽培与植保研究、柿品种、栽培与植保研究、李品种、栽培与植保研究、猕猴桃品种、栽培与植保研究、樱桃品种、栽培与植保研究、蓝莓品种、栽培与植保研究、西红柿品种与栽培新技术研究、西甜瓜品种与栽培新技术研究、叶菜类研究、根菜类研究、中药材研究、食用菌研究、葡萄酒等果酒研制、特色作物采后处理研究、农产品质量安全、特色作物信息研究等28个科研团队。

以我院为依托创建有:广西柑橘生物学重点实验室、农业部广西桂林柑橘无病毒良种繁育基地、国家桃产业技术体系桂林综合试验站、“葡萄一年两收栽培技术研究”八桂学者岗位、国家柑橘产业技术体系桂北综合试验站、广西柑橘品种选育及栽培邓秀新院士工作站、广西柑橘新品种选育及无病苗繁育研究特聘专家岗位、广西柑橘育种及栽培工程技术研究中心、广西柑橘创新团队及试验站、农业部广西柑橘所农药试验中心、广西壮族自治区柑橘良种培育中心、广西壮族自治区葡萄良种培育中心、广西壮族自治区桃、梨良种培育中心和广西柑橘产业技术创新联盟理事长单位等25个科研平台;建立了柑橘品种资源圃、落叶果树品种资源圃、特色蔬菜品种资源圃等。

六、新科研基地建设

为解决市区内科研试验用地不足的问题,我院在临桂区南边山镇新建“广西现代特色作物科技创新与示范基地”。该基地占地1329.76亩,其中农业用地1264.4055亩,建设用地65.35亩。新科研基地于2016年年底正式破土动工,现基地内已完成了土地平整等相关基础性工作,正在开展国家柑橘原种保存及扩繁基地和葡萄科研示范园的建设。该基地建成后将成为集科研、试验、示范、推广、培训、科普等多功能为一体的综合性科技园区。

、合作与交流

建院以来,我院不断加大与国内外高等院校、科研院所的合作力度。尤其是近10年来,我院积极扩展和深化对外技术交往,通过拓宽交流渠道,搭建交流平台,创新交流方式,深化交流内容,已从一般的互访、考察,逐步发展到较深层次的合作交流、人才培养、实验室共建等,使我院科技交流呈现多元化、多层次、宽领域的新格局,洽谈了多个科技合作项目,取得了多方面的合作成果。国外与美国、巴西、西班牙、意大利、法国、澳大利亚、越南、柬埔寨等国家的高等院校、科研院所建立了合作关系,取得较好的合作成果。如与美国农业部农业研究服务署(USDA-ARS)合作绘制了国际首个马铃薯斑马片病菌全基因组图谱、中国首个柑橘黄龙病菌亚洲种全基因组图谱等;国内与华中农业大学、西南大学、湖南农业大学、中国农业大学、广西大学、广西师范大学等国内大学联合培养了一批硕士、博士;与华中农业大学、西南大学、湖南农业大学等就果蔬病虫害防控、新品种选育、无病苗繁育等开展了合作研究等。

Introduction to Guangxi Academy of Specialty Crops

 

Located in Guilin, Guangxi Academy of Specialty Crops (GASC),originally known as the Citrus Research Institute of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is a public-welfare oriented scientific research unit subordinate to the Department of Agriculture of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Over the past five decades since its establishment, under the powerful support of the Department of Science and Technologyand the Department of Agriculture of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and other superior departments and the assistance of certain associate organizations, in combination with the wisdom and efforts of the Institute's leaders and staff members, the Institute, sticking to the principles of "creation by sciences and innovation, development by talents and stabilization by livelihood construction", has made outstanding achievements in scientific R&D, talent development and livelihoodconstruction.

I. Organization Structuring

Located in Guilin, GASC is a public-welfare oriented scientific research unit subordinate to the Department of Agriculture of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Originally known as the Citrus Research Institute of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (Fruit and Vegetable Research Institute of Guangxi), the Institute was renamed in January 2014 upon the approval of the General Office of the Organization Commission of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The predecessor of the Academy , Citrus Research Institute of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, wasestablished in December 1965. Covering an area of over 33.3 ha. in urban areas, the Academy has newly set up over of "Modernized Science and Technology Innovation and Demonstration Base of Special Corps in Guangxi" in Lingui District which occupied an area of 88.6 ha..

It is the main task of the Academy to collect, conserve, identify,evaluate and innovatively utilize various germplasm resources of fruit and vegetable, as well as the breeding, introduction, detoxification, storage, screening and application of new cultivars, the propagation of excellent varieties, superior, effective and safe cultivation, integrated control,detection of crop diseases and pests, post-harvest treatment, warehousing and fresh-keeping, product processing, development & application, technology promotion, technology consulting and training, etc.

Totally 6 administrative departments are set up subordinate to theAcademy, including office, personnel section, planning & finance section, science & business section, logistics & security section and base management section, together with 9 research institutions, including Guangxi Citrus Research Institute, Fruit Research Institute of GASC, Vegetable Research Institute of GASC, Chinese Materia Medica Research Institute of GASC, Food Research Institute of GASC, Edible FungusResearch Institute of GASC, Research Institute of Quality Standard forAgricultural Products of GASC, Scientific Information Research Institute of GASC, and Laboratory.

II. Situations of Talent Team

At present, the Academy consists of 92 full-time employees including57 scientific researchers. Among the scientific researchers, 6 are of principal-level advanced professional titles, 19 assistant-level advanced professional titles and 29 intermediate professional titles; 6 are doctoral candidates and 14 master degree candidates; 1 is Guangxi outstanding expert, 1 the station master of the Experimental Station of National Modern Citrus Industry Technology System, 3 members in the "Bagui Scholars" posts for one-year two-harvest grape cultivation technologyresearch, respectively, 1 functional expert in Guangxi Citrus InnovationTeam and 1 station master of the experimental station, 1 functional expert in Guangxi Kiwi Fruit Innovation Team, 1 functional expert for grape in Guangxi Special Fruit Innovation Team and 1 distinguished expert for the research of cultivar breeding and virus-free seeding propagation of citrus.

III. Scientific Research Projects and Funds

Aimed at industrial requirements, the Academy continuously promotes scientific and technological level and constructs projects following the pace of times. Over the past 50 years since its foundation, the Academy has undertaken 240 national-level, provincial-level and local level scientific research projects. Currently, the Academy can obtain about RMB 10 million scientific research funds every year.

In 2011, the Academy received its first support to project establishmentfrom the Natural Science Foundation of China, obtained project support for Youth Foundation from the Natural Science Foundation of China in 2013 and once again obtained project support from the Natural Science Foundation of China in 2014.

IV. Scientific Research Achievements

  Up to now, the Academy has won more than 70 awards for scientific research achievements, including 1 second prize of national prize for progress in science and technology, 1 national science conference prize, 1 third prize of national invention, 1 national spark award and 22 provincial science and technology progress awards. It has collected and saved 363 germplasm resources of fruits and vegetables; bred various new fruit and vegetable varieties with independent intellectual properties, including such excellent citrus varieties as "Guilcheng 1#", "Guiqi 1#", "Guiyou 1#", "Liucheng tangerine""Guiju 1#""Guixiacheng 1#and "Guijingan 1#"and "Huayu" watermelon; hosted the drafting and publication of 24professional works; participated in the drafting and publication of 14 professional works; enacted 1 agricultural industry standard; formulated and revised 53 local standards of Guangxi; applied for 2 patents; released 809 papers in various journals, including 202 papers in Chinese core journals; created and launched the journal of Guangxi Citrus in 1990, which has changed to Guangxi Horticulture at present; and carried out over 700,000 person-times of advanced and applicable comprehensive technical training in citrus.

In 2010 - 2014, the Academy made significant achievements in the technical research of virus-free seedling propagation of citrus, research of integrated control technique of citrus huanglongbingbreeding and pilot promotion of new citrus cultivars, technology research of grape cultivation, etc., with 11 science and technology achievement awards in total, including 1 second prize of national prize for progress in science and technology; 1 first prize of the Ministry of Education for science and technology progress; 1 second prize for animal husbandry, fishery harvest of the whole country; 2 second prizes for progress in science and technology in Guangxi; and 6 third prizes for progress in science and technology in Guangxi;

V. Scientific Research Teams and Platforms

At present, there are 28 scientific research teams for: research ofgermplasm storage and innovation of citrus, research of breeding of new citrus varieties, research of virus-free seedling propagation of citrus, research of superior and effective cultivation of citrus, research of nutrition and fertilization of citrus, research of integrated control of citrushuanglongbing, research of control of citrus diseases, research of control of citrus pests, research of introduction and breeding of new grape varieties, research of one-year two-harvest grape cultivation technology,research of control of diseases and pests of grapes, research of variety, cultivation and plant protection of peaches, research of variety, cultivation and plant protection of pears, research of variety, cultivation and plant protection of persimmons, research of variety, cultivation and plant protection of plums, research of variety, cultivation and plant protection of kiwi fruits, research of variety, cultivation and plant protection of cherries, research of variety, cultivation and plant protection of blue berries, research of variety and new cultivation technology of tomatoes,research of variety and new cultivation technology of watermelons, research of leafy vegetables, research of root vegetables, research of Chinese Materia Medica, research of edible fungus, research of brew of wines and other fruit wines, research of post-harvest processing of special corps, research of quality safety of agricultural products and research ofinformation of special corps, etc.

Under the support of the Academy, over twenty scientific research platforms have been set up, including: Guangxi Key Laboratory of Citrus Biology, Guangxi Citrus Virus-free Propagation Base of the Ministry of Agriculture, "Bagui Scholars" Posts for One-year Two-harvest GrapeCultivation Technology, North Guilin Integrated Experimental Station of National Citrus Industry Technology System, Guangxi Academician Xiuxin Deng Working Station for Breeding and Cultivation of Citrus Varieties, Guangxi Distinguished Expert for the Research of Cultivar Breeding and Virus-free Seeding Propagation of Citrus , Guangxi Engineering Research Center of Breeding and Cultivation of Citrus, Guangxi Citrus Innovation Team and Experimental Station, Pesticide Test Center of Guangxi Citrus Research Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture, Citrus Breeding Center of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Grape Breeding Center of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Peach and Pear Breeding Center of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, President Unit of Guangxi Citrus Industrial Technology Innovation Alliance, etc. Meanwhile, resource nurseries of citrus, deciduous fruit, and special vegetableshave been set up, respectively.

VI. Cooperation and Communication

Up to now, the Academy pays more attention on the cooperation with domestic and overseas universities and research institutes. Especially in the last ten years, the Academy expanded and deepened technical exchanges with other research institutes. By broadening communication channels, constructing communication platform, innovating communication forms, deepening communication contents, the cooperative contents have been converted from normal visit to deep collaboration and communication, personnel training, laboratory co-construction. These changes make the technical communication of the Academy diversified, multi-level and wide-field. The Academy also hasobtained a lot of achievements by the collaboration with foreign universities and research institutes distributed in the United States of America, Brazil, Spain, Italy, France, Australia, Vietnam and Cambodia.In the cooperation with Agricultural Research Service, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA-ARS), the Academy finished and released the complete genome sequence of 'Candidatus Liberibacter solanacearum′, the causal agent of potato zebra chip disease, and the complete genome sequence of 'Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus which was the first finised complete genome sequence of 'CandidatusLiberibacter asiaticus in China. Domestically, by cooperation with Huazhong Agricultural University, Southwest University, Hunan Agricultural University, China Agricultural University, Guangxi University and Guangxi Normal University, the Academy has tutored many post-graduate master students and doctoral students. The Academy also has carried out cooperative researchs with Huazhong Agricultural University, Southwest University and Hunan Agricultural University on the disease and pest control, new variety breeding and virus-free seedling propagation of fruits and vegetables.
